Job Description
**Job Title:** Analytical Science and Technology Senior Scientist **Role Summary:** Senior analytical chemist responsible for method transfer, documentation, QC testing, data review and OOS/OOT investigations in late‑stage product development and commercial manufacturing of drug products. **Expactations:** • Lead method transfers to CMOs and manage commercial QC testing. • Author and review SOPs, transfer protocols, technical and statistical reports. • Conduct technical review of analytical data and OOS/OOT investigations. • Perform statistical analyses for continued process verification. • Coordinate cross‑functional activities with MS&T, Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory teams. • Manage analytical method lifecycle, trending, improvement and change control. • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders. • Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple concurrent projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Transfer and validate method performance for small molecule drug products and intermediates at CMOs. - Author, review and maintain method protocols, SOPs, transfer reports and technical reports. - Support and oversee development of QC testing portfolios at contract testing sites. - Review analytical data for QC release and stability studies; identify anomalies. - Investigate OOS/OOT events, collaborate on root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. - Conduct statistical evaluation of repeated batches for process verification and improvement. - Liaise with MS&T, Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory to ensure alignment with quality and regulatory requirements. - Maintain method performance trending, implement process improvements and manage change control. **Required Skills:** - Analytical development or technical operations experience in pharmaceutical development or commercialization. - Proficient in chromatography (HPLC, GC) and common analytical techniques (KF, elemental assays, spectroscopy). - Knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines and CMC regulatory requirements. - Experience in method transfer, documentation, QC testing, data review, and OOS investigations. - Strong analytical and root‑cause analysis skills. - Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools. - Excellent technical writing, communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to work independently and within a matrixed team. - Project management experience and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related natural science. - Preferred experience levels: PhD 0‑3 yrs, Master’s 3+ yrs, or Bachelor’s 6+ yrs. - Certifications in quality management or analytical chemistry are an advantage.
