**Job Title**
Senior Manager, Application Management
**Role Summary**
Lead the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise application management processes within a cloud‑first, SaaS‑driven environment. Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technology partners, vendors, and internal IT to ensure reliable delivery, optimal vendor performance, and alignment with strategic IT roadmaps.
**Expectations**
- Drive application management governance and best practices across new and existing business applications.
- Deliver project oversight for releases, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring quality, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, enforce contractual obligations, and resolve production incidents efficiently.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Application Management**
- Design and enforce formal application management processes, policies, and templates.
- Develop and maintain architecture, integration, and data‑dictionary documentation for key systems (APIs, ETLs, SFTP, flat files).
- Create and update user‑role matrices (CRUD, SOD) and interface documentation.
2. **Business Expectation Management**
- Collaborate with business units to scope, prioritize, and align application initiatives with strategic objectives.
- Act as primary liaison among business stakeholders, users, technology teams, and vendors.
- Conduct value‑stream analyses to uncover process improvement opportunities.
- Manage end‑user training and release communications for new features and upgrades.
3. **Project & Vendor Management**
- Program‑manage application development, maintenance, and major releases (e.g., API, SSO, data‑integration projects).
- Coordinate testing, release scheduling, and go‑live activities.
- Serve as the point of contact for production issues, triage requests, and root‑cause analysis.
- Oversee vendor performance against SLAs, license compliance, and contractual terms.
**Required Skills**
- Enterprise IT service delivery & SDLC expertise (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
- Release management, configuration management, and change control.
- Vendor & contract management, SLA enforcement.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and expectation management.
- Learning agility and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, cloud‑centric environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred: ITIL Foundation, PMP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent vendor‑specific credentials.
