Job Description
**Job Title** Strategic Finance Consultant – FTC or Day Rate **Role Summary** Provide financial control and commercial insight support to the Head of Strategic Finance. Reconcile and analyse historical and current financial data, develop accurate models, and deliver clear insights that inform decision‑making, investor reporting, and M&A due diligence. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, reconciled financial datasets for internal planning and external reporting. - Establish robust data integrity processes across historical records. - Communicate financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders. - Contribute to the foundation of a new strategic finance team structure. **Key Responsibilities** - Retrieve, reconcile, and analyse revenue, cost, balance sheet, and cash‑flow data. - Investigate and resolve incomplete or inconsistent data records. - Prepare and format internal data for business use and M&A due diligence. - Develop datasets to support future FP&A and commercial analysis workstreams. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance metrics and investor reporting. - Assist in establishing the structure and controls of the emerging strategic finance team. **Required Skills** - Qualified accountant with financial control experience in financial services. - Strong analytical and methodical data‑reconciliation abilities. - Proficient in Excel; additional data tools experience is a plus. - Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly to senior executives. - Adaptable, hands‑on, and effective in a fast‑paced, changing environment. - Team‑oriented with a focus on shaping new processes and reporting structures. **Required Education & Certifications** - Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent. - Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in financial control or FP&A within a financial services setting.
