Licensing and Retail Manager
**Role Summary**
Drive the growth of a global licensing portfolio across multiple entertainment IPs. Manage partner acquisition, portfolio performance, financial reporting, and cross‑functional marketing and retail initiatives.
**Expectations**
* Deliver measurable revenue growth within a 16‑month fixed‑term contract.
* Prioritize acquisition and management of licensees in the U.S. and U.K. markets.
* Provide accurate annual and quarterly financial reporting and analysis.
* Maintain strong relationships with licensees, retailers, and brand partners.
* Deliver integrated, multi‑platform marketing, retail, and event plans.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Identify and source prospective licensees, retailers, brand partners, and promotional collaborators.
* Conduct due diligence, market and category analysis, and financial impact assessments.
* Maintain and analyze existing licensee portfolios, including proposals, sales, business plans, and marketing plans.
* Build and nurture relationships with major retailers, tailoring cross‑category programs.
* Manage day‑to‑day communication with licensees: product development, retail development, marketing, royalty reporting, contract negotiation, promotion planning, and issue resolution.
* Create and update sales tools (presentations, video content, licensee lists, trend guides).
* Design and update trend guides across all IPs in partnership with stakeholders and external agencies.
* Attend and manage global trade shows.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on integrated marketing, retail, promotional, and event plans.
**Required Skills**
* Proven experience in IP/brand portfolio management covering contract negotiation, financial reporting, product development, marketing, and retail planning.
* Strong commercial and strategic brand planning expertise.
* In‑depth knowledge of retail market trends, seasonality, and buying cycles across physical and digital channels.
* Established global relationships with licensees, retailers, and brand partners.
* Excellent presentation creation and delivery skills.
* Negotiation and contract management proficiency.
* Familiarity with licensing industry practices and networks.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Licensing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
* No specific certifications required, though industry certifications (e.g., in Licensing, Brand Management) are a plus.
