Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable application hosting platforms, ensuring automation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud deployments, while collaborating with cross‑functional Agile teams to deliver reliable, secure, and performant services.
Expactations:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with Linux system administration (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL).
- Solid scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform for container orchestration and infrastructure provisioning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and automation tools (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).
- Basic understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Experience managing relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and Java applications is advantageous.
- Participation in open‑source projects and continuous learning mindset.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain IaC scripts (Terraform, Helm charts) and CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to define, ship, and support application releases with minimal downtime.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure platform reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve incidents across platform and application layers.
- Advocate and drive cloudification initiatives, recommending best practices and cost‑effective solutions.
- Mentor and support internal/external customers, sharing expertise and improving delivery processes.
Required Skills:
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (in‑depth).
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, Skaffold.
- IaC: Terraform, Pulumi or similar.
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
- Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python.
- Monitoring/Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, ELK stack.
- Linux system administration (Debian/Ubuntu/RHEL).
- Database administration (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
- Agile/Scrum collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Certified Associate) are a plus.
