Job Specifications

The Boston-based Home Product team is seeking a self-motivated and creative intern with a strong desire to leverage their analytical skills to help solve practical business problems.

Responsibilities

Gain valuable business knowledge in a fast-paced insurance industry through hands-on training and onboarding
Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to perform business analyses to identify, test, and inform critical business decisions
Evaluate the company's competitive position through research and analysis of competitive intelligence reports
Assist with developing business and underwriting strategies
Work independently as well as collaborate with and learn from team members on various projects
Participate in cross-functional project team representing Product
Have opportunities to present to senior management

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
Prior Insurance or Casualty Experienced preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of intellectual curiosity
Previous co-op/internship experience preferred
Some knowledge of data analytics tools - Excel, preferably including SQL, R, or Python
