Overview
Talcott's Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to immerse themselves in real-world challenges. As part of this ten-week fast-paced summer program, interns will engage in meaningful projects guided by training in market dynamics and industry fundamentals, with the potential for exposure to data management and visualization tools such as SQL, VBA, and Power BI. These projects will expand the student's analytical thinking ability, professional communication skills, and technical expertise to lay the groundwork for future success in the financial services industry.
In addition to hands-on learning, Talcott's internship program offers a comprehensive schedule of educational workshops, peer networking events, and direct exposure to senior leadership, designed to support interns' personal and professional development.
We are looking for a talented rising college junior or senior to join the Talcott Finance team as a 2026 Summer Financial Analyst Intern. They will be assigned to work on two 5-week projects within Financial Planning & Analysis, supporting initiatives such as three-statement financial modeling, capital optimization, enterprise valuation, and ad-hoc analysis. Project specifics will vary depending on the assignment; however, each project will require the intern to develop innovative solutions to complex financial problems. The internship program follows a hybrid work model (three days in-office) and is scheduled to begin late-May 2026.
Qualifications:
Rising junior or senior, currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Actuarial Science, Insurance, and/or Economics with a GPA of 3.4 or better
Relevant internship experience is preferred
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Eagerness to articulate complex financial information across business segments
Leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills
Proven track record of success in team environments
Technical fluency with MS Office technology (Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint)
Compensation: $20-$25/hourly
