Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract - PS50-55 per hour (Outisde IR35)

Location: Scotland (On-site)

We're hiring on behalf of a client looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. The role focuses on the design and development of electro-mechanical products used in automated systems, including intricate internal mechanisms for an electronic machine.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design new components and support existing product updates

* Design intricate internal mechanisms for an electronic machine

* Work with operations, suppliers, and other teams

* Ensure design quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness

* Run design reviews, testing, and validation

* Manage documentation and change control processes

What We're Looking For:

* 5+ years in mechanical design, ideally in electromechanical systems

* Experience designing intricate internal mechanisms for complex machines

* Strong CAD skills (ProE/Creo or Solidworks)

* Knowledge of drive systems, mechanisms, and prototyping

* Experience with stress/tolerance analysis

* Good communicator, able to manage multiple projects
