Job Title: Software Engineer - Excel VBA & SQL Support

Location: Remote (California-based) - Candidates may be required to come into the office once every two weeks based on manager's flexibility

Level: 3 (10+ years of experience)

Duration: 12 Months Contract (W2 only)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support and enhance Excel VBA applications and SQL databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications, along with the ability to troubleshoot and improve performance. The role requires hands-on expertise in Excel automation, VBA scripting, SQL database management, and C# programming.

Key Responsibilities:

Support, maintain, and enhance existing Excel VBA applications.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and implement solutions.
Troubleshoot application and database issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
Integrate and automate processes between Excel, SQL, and C#.
Document processes, code, and system workflows.
Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

10+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong expertise in Excel (advanced functions, formulas, automation).
Proven hands-on experience with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) development.
Proficiency in SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Experience in C# development for integration and automation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
