Job Description

Netcompany is seeking a Strong Azure Cloud Engineer to join its Cloud Operations Team and drive forward our support capability to deliver high-performing solutions to our clients. Based in a brand new purpose-built office in Leeds city centre, you will join a forward-thinking organisation that prioritises your personal development.

As a Strong Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for, implementing, managing and maintaining cloud solutions for our prestigious clients. You will leverage your expertise in Azure and Infrastructure as Code to deliver robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and the chance to work on some of the largest, most complex and technically innovative programmes in the industry.

Essential

Key Skills/Experience

Minimum of 18 months experience with Azure cloud services, including advanced resource management, networking, and security implementations
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies in enterprise environments, ability to create and modify infrastructure.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues in production environments
Experience in at least one scripting/programming language (PowerShell, Python, Bash) with demonstrable complex automation implementations
Experience implementing robust monitoring solutions and advanced alerting strategies
Strong background in cloud security principles and implementation of security controls in Azure environments
Experience mentoring team mates and contributing to team knowledge growth
Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities
Must be willing to do UK-based travel for projects
Right to work in the UK
Ability to achieve UK Security Clearance

Qualifications

Desirable

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar advanced CI/CD tools
Knowledge of cost optimisation strategies for cloud resources
Experience with advanced Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Trade certifications
Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor at scale
Background in maintain disaster recovery and high-availability solutions for critical systems
