A forward-thinking technology company is looking for a Java Developer to help drive the next phase of its digital transformation. You'll work in an agile scrum team to design, build, test, and maintain user-facing digital services used by the public.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, and optimise Java applications for public use
Build applications and software libraries designed for public cloud services
Contribute to an iterative, Agile delivery process and apply Agile principles to day-to-day work
Deliver fully unit- and integration-tested code as part of a continuous build and delivery pipeline
Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team
Plan, manage, and take responsibility for your own workload

What you'll bring

Excellent Java development skills, ideally with Java 21 experience
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, tested code in Agile environments
Experience creating cloud-ready applications and services
Ability to produce clear technical documentation and share knowledge effectively
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Desirable extras

Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Terraform, or Docker
Familiarity with the UK Government Service Standard
