Job Description
Metrics is bidding on an effort in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs, as we do so, we are seeking a versatile Technical Lead with expertise in cloud architecture, data engineering, and DevOps practices. The candidate will design and maintain data pipelines, oversee cloud integrations, and manage CI/CD environments that support secure and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to feed analytics and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Develop and manage cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GovCloud) including Dev, Pre-Prod, and Prod deployments.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and infrastructure as code for secure deployments.
Collaborate with security and QA teams to integrate scanning, compliance checks, and automated testing into delivery pipelines.
Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and runtime reliability.
Provide technical leadership for integration across systems, APIs, and third-party services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure, or VAEC environments.
Strong background in ETL, data modeling, and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform, or similar tools.
Familiarity with security practices (DevSecOps) and quality assurance methods.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with PMs, analysts, and end-users.
