Position Overview:

We're currently on the lookout for a skilled Technical Designer and Coordinator to join us. The successful candidate for this role will have a solid background in interior design. They will be able to work independently and have the necessary experience to perform architecture and design tasks for commercial workplace design projects associated with RIBA stages 3-5.

Working closely with the director and client teams you will ensure that design concepts are interpreted, and applied to site conditions for accurate technical design documentation to be produced. You'll have the ability to identify and communicate potential design risks. You will have a keen attention to detail and will have prior experience surveying interior spaces to undertake dimensional surveys and plan checks. We are seeking a driven individual who can work independently and take the initiative to find efficiencies for successful design coordination that help ensure the quality of our clients' construction projects.

You will have experience in producing and reviewing construction information for the design and building of workplace interiors. Where necessary you will be remotely supported in the production of the necessary construction information. You will have the ability to manage this resource effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to ensure effective communication of designs and identification of design risks.
Conduct dimensional surveys and plan checks of interior spaces.
Apply pre-determined design principles and branding to various interior spaces, considering the commercial impact of space planning and design details.
Facilitate production and review of construction information for workplace interiors, ensuring compliance with project and statutory requirements.
Manage remote resources effectively for the production of necessary construction information.
Actively participate in client approval processes for design developments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

8-12 years of experience in architecture or interior design, with a focus on commercial office fit-out and Design & Build projects.
Experience working as part of a team
Experience managing yourself and small teams
High Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and design tasks.
Revit is preferred but not essential.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Highly organized and prompt in handling project tasks.
