Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Solace PubSub+ and Apache Kafka clusters across hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments.
Design and implement HA/DR solutions using Solace redundancy groups and Kafka replication strategies.
Optimize performance, capacity, and throughput for large-scale messaging workloads.
Automate provisioning, monitoring, and operational tasks using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Python, Shell.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for middleware configuration and deployment.
Implement security controls (TLS, RBAC, encryption) to meet SOX, PCI, HIPAA compliance.
Monitor platform health using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Kafka Manager, Solace Monitor.
Lead incident RCA and implement long-term solutions.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Required Qualifications
7+ years Middleware Engineering experience (or equivalent).
Hands-on expertise with Apache Kafka (architecture, configuration, operational management).
Hands-on expertise with Solace PubSub+ (administration, redundancy, queue/topic management).
Proficiency in automation & IaC: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, scripting (Python, Shell).
Strong Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
Familiarity with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Kafka Manager, Solace Monitor.
Solid knowledge of messaging security, RBAC, TLS, and compliance frameworks.
Strong incident management, RCA, and documentation skills.
