Job Specifications
We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist in Manufacturing Technology. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network architecture, design, and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on industrial network design and integration. This role requires expertise in the ISA-95/Purdue Model, network segmentation, core networking concepts, and IT infrastructure specification.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and troubleshoot network architectures, ensuring robust network segmentation and compliance with established security zones.
Apply core networking concepts, including VLANs, firewalls, ACLs, and network ports/protocols, to design compliant configurations and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Understand and integrate industrial automation and control systems (IACS) networks, ensuring performance requirements such as QoS, latency, and jitter are met.
Specify integration requirements for OT and enterprise systems, including network configurations and data aggregation points.
Possess foundational knowledge of Windows systems administration, Active Directory (AD) concepts, and virtualization technologies.
Define security requirements, collaborate with AD teams, and engage with the Cybersecurity team for assessments and approvals.
Apply Zero Trust principles and understand data protection policies to incorporate into designs.
Contribute to and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including network diagrams, data flow diagrams, and firewall rules.
Follow established SOPs and workflows, contribute to lifecycle planning, and identify risk mitigation strategies.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including IT Shared Services, OT engineers, Automation Teams, Business Users, Validation, Quality, and Vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with manufacturing/lab equipment, such as packaging lines, scientific instrumentation, or process equipment.
Experience with manufacturing/lab systems and platforms, including PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, lab software, integration platforms, thin client management, data transfer/storage, serialization systems, and document management systems.
Familiarity with security tools, GxP regulations, data integrity principles, validation lifecycle support, change management, and regulatory standards.
Project management experience in coordinating OT-related projects or workstreams.
Advanced documentation skills and demonstrated excellence in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
