Description:
This role focuses on developing automation frameworks, analyzing telemetry data, and collaborating with internal and external teams to identify and resolve power regressions or measure and estimate the power impact of different hardware and software designs.
The candidate will contribute to the architecture, implementation and validation of power measurement tools and dashboards that support projects across different ASICs.

A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, be able to make autonomous decisions in technical areas, possess software engineering expertise to develop frameworks to measure, analyze and interpret power data, as well as the ability to perform effectively in an Agile environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators across hardware and software teams.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Experience with telemetry, ETL trace tools, and power profiling.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Familiarity with video processing pipelines and power-aware software design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain automation frameworks for power measurement and regression testing.
Execute and analyze power measurement experiments, interpret the results, and discuss implications with other software teams.
Assess power impact of new software features, especially in video processing workloads.
Create and manage dashboards that visualize power metrics and trends.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve power-related issues.
Analyze telemetry data and ETL logs to identify root causes of power regressions.
Scale power monitoring across different ASICs.
Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Hands-on power profiling and telemetry analysis, including ETL trace tools and system logs.
Experience with data acquisition hardware (e.g., NI DAQ or similar) and automation frameworks.
Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for building maintainable, testable tools.
Familiarity with video processing pipelines, codecs, and Windows multimedia features.
Multiple years of system-level or embedded software development experience.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
