IT Engineer | Aerospace Manufacturing Company | 6 Month Contract (Extensions Likely) | Up to PS36 per hour (Inside IR35) | Filton
MERITUS are excited to be partnered with a leading Aerospace company based in Filton. We are recruiting for an IT Engineer with exposure to supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments to join their manufacturing facility. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on IT expertise in operational technology environments to work at the heart of cutting-edge production facilities.
If successful you will ensure the smooth operation of IT systems Embedded within production assets. This includes deployment, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of software, hardware, and networks in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, supporting production efficiency, and strengthening cyber security within manufacturing environments.
The company are based in Filton & this will be an initial 6 month contract with extensions likely.
Main Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT-related issues across production assets.
Plan, install, configure, and maintain both hardware and software systems.
Manage and monitor IT network equipment, accounts, and system security at machine level.
Ensure compliance with policies on system upgrades, patching, backups, and IT asset disposal.
Skills Required:
Previous experience within an IT services or industrial support environment (eg, SCADA, HMI, CNC).
Strong knowledge of cyber security practices in an operational technology context.
Practical experience with system installations, security patching, and backup/restore procedures.
Solid understanding of network infrastructure and Windows operating systems (Legacy knowledge desirable).
