Business Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with over 8 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in the healthcare software domain. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, working closely with stakeholders, development teams, and end-users to ensure successful delivery of software products and enhancements within healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
Translate complex business processes into user stories, use cases, workflows, and functional specifications.
Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, QA, and end-users.
Work on healthcare-specific software projects involving EMRs/EHRs, clinical systems, patient portals, or health data integrations (HL7, FHIR, etc.).
Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies to support decision-making.
Drive the development of data mapping, system integration, and data migration documentation.
Facilitate requirements workshops, user interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
Support QA and UAT processes by defining test cases, validating outcomes, and managing defect resolution.
Monitor project progress, manage requirement changes, and ensure alignment with business goals.
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards, privacy regulations (HIPAA), and interoperability guidelines.
Provide domain expertise on healthcare operations, terminology, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
8+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
Minimum 2 years of experience working on healthcare software projects.
Strong understanding of healthcare systems, standards, and terminology.
Proficient in creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows, and wireframes.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar).
Experience with FHIR, HL7, EDI, HIPAA compliance.
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, or similar.
Prior experience with healthcare data analytics, reporting tools, or patient engagement platforms.
