Job Title
Python Developer - Dutch/French/English - ALTEN Belgium
The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Python Developer to join our teams and work on client projects in Belgium.
As a Python Developer, your main responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications, services, and APIs.
Processing large datasets efficiently to deliver accurate and high-performance solutions.
Maintaining and optimizing existing services and packages to ensure reliability and functionality.
Collaborating with business users and team members to ensure best coding practices, including documentation, automated testing, and deployment processes.
Conducting code reviews and supporting users in coding and system usage.
Exploring opportunities in data science and machine learning, such as anomaly detection, sentiment analysis, or AI-based applications.
Your Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Strong proficiency in Python (preferably >3.8) and libraries such as Pandas, FastAPI, Dash
Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js is a plus
Knowledge of DevOps tools, e.g., Azure DevOps, Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
Prior experience in financial services or risk management is an advantage
Languages: Dutch, French, and English
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Rigorous, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team
