Job Description

What you'll do

Deliver a first-class technology platform to support investment decision making and quantitative research
Produce high quality, testable software
Build highly responsive UI components using React
Be part of a business facing team with a high visibility and interactions with key stakeholders and end-users
Refine the existing investment and research platform in response to business needs
Coach and develop more junior team members, ensuring that best practices and methodologies are followed

The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications You Need

Strong hands-on React engineering experience using TypeScript in an enterprise environment
Strong experience with common React packages, libraries and tools used for builds, state management, data visualisations, testing, code quality, linting etc.
Proficient with REST, WebSocket and GraphQL APIs
Extensive knowledge of JavaScript: primitives vs objects, scopes, closures, function binding etc.
An understanding and knowledge of engineering best practices and design patterns

The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications That Will Help

Experience with AWS, AppSync and CloudFront
Creative thinking and analytical skills
UX and design experience to prototype and communicate ideas with business stakeholders
General understanding of Asset Management/Financial Services industry and working in a regulated environment
Comfortable overseeing the entire SDLC and taking autonomy of a project
