Job Title: Software Development Engineer (Front End)

Location: San Jose, CA (open to remote)

Job Duration: 3+m Contract with potential for conversion

Primary Skills:

Experience working with Modern React frontend engineering
Experience working with UI/UX fundamentals + design systems
Experience working with API integration & frontend-backend collaboration.
Experience working with ML platform tools
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Solid experience building modern web applications with React
Familiarity with Next.js or other SSR frameworks is a plus
Understanding of UI architecture, state management, and design systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
A growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain web applications supporting the ML training platform
Work with stakeholders to gather UI requirements and iterate on user-facing features
Collaborate with backend engineers to help shape APIs and ensure seamless frontend-backend integration
Ensure performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across supported browsers
Participate in code reviews and uphold frontend best practices and coding standards

Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Training at Scale team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that support large-scale machine learning model training on the latest AMD GPUs. You'll work closely with both ML and backend engineers to build intuitive, performant, and scalable user interfaces for internal ML platform tools.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern frontend frameworks, a solid understanding of UI/UX principles, and the ability to transform complex backend systems into clear and effective user interfaces. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, iterating quickly on user feedback, and collaborating across disciplines to drive platform usability and performance..

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
