Position Overview

The Information Technology group within Kimball International's Corporate Headquarters is seeking a college student for an exciting summer internship opportunity during the summer of 2026. This internship will provide hands-on experience in application development and software engineering, working alongside experienced developers on real-world projects that impact Kimball's business operations.

Internship Responsibilities

Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze application requirements
Support development and maintenance of web applications and system integrations
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Help with troubleshooting and resolving software defects
Document application designs, user guides, and technical specifications

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Basic understanding of programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript
Familiarity with software development lifecycle and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Coursework or projects involving application development or software engineering
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic knowledge of databases

Location and Work Requirements

Must be local to Jasper, IN
Required to work onsite at the Jasper Corporate Headquarters
