Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking Core Mission Systems Engineersin the St. Louis, MOarea, supporting the Air Dominance Air Proprietary 1 Program.
You will be joining a fast-paced program where you will be responsible for developing and integrating complex, highly integrated Core Mission Systems. Your work will include both enhancing existing architectures with new capabilities as well as architecting completely new systems. The successful applicant will join a team responsible for state-of-the-art Communication, Navigation & Identification systems; mixed- criticality Mission Processors; high-speed/high-density Mass Storage devices; Aircrew Display Systems including Helmet Mounted Displays; and core wired/optical network hardware including Ethernet Switches, Remote Interface Units, and Cross-Domain Guards.
In this role, you will be joining a cross-functional team integrating next generation capabilities as part of a very exciting and critically important development effort. You will have the opportunity to operate in an agile development environment, mature our products through the development lifecycle, work on next generation open-architecture model-based designs, and collaborate across multiple disciplines.
The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering, collaborating with cross-functional peers, and presenting technical challenges and solutions to leadership. Frequent interaction with program leadership, customers, and industry partners during critical design phases will be key elements of this position. This position will provide the candidate an opportunity to develop their engineering skills with potential growth into a leadership role.

Position Responsibilities:
Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Lead and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Lead work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Oversee the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Make recommendations for technology investments
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
(Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master's or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
(Level 5) 14+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 12+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master's or 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
