We're a PropTech company building a smarter way for agents and home shoppers to collaborate together, powered by AI, driven by conversation.

We're a small, fast-moving team, and we're looking for a Backend or Full-Stack Engineer to help us get our product to 1.0. This is a full-time contract role with a backend focus and the opportunity to shape foundational pieces of the product.

What You'll Do

Design and maintain backend services in Elixir/Phoenix
Model clean APIs and data structures with PostgreSQL and Elastic, ensuring performance and maintainability
Collaborate closely with product and design to ship end-to-end features quickly
Influence architecture, database schema design, and system scalability as we grow
Contribute to a fast feedback loop as we prepare for public launch

You Might Be A Fit If You

Have 7 to 10 years of production experience in a backend framework (Phoenix, Node.js)
Have 7 to 10 years of production experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs, specifically performance tuning, caching strategies, and database optimization
Have 5 to 7 years of production experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Have 5 to 7 years of production experience with GCP cloud infrastructure and observability tools
Strong understanding of a backend language (Elixir, TypeScript)
Strong understanding of scalable architectural patterns, distributed systems, and security best practices (OWASP, OAuth, JWT)
Enjoy backend service ownership, from schema design to API interface
Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, startup environment
