Which company will you be joining as a "Senior Flow Assurance/Well Performance Engineer (M/F)"?
We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a "Senior Flow Assurance/Well Performance Engineer (M/F)", initially based in Paris (France), with the possibility of relocating to Luanda (Angola) after 6-12 months.
"Senior Flow Assurance/Well Performance Engineer (M/F)" What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Production
~75 Kbopd operated production from one FPSO with 2 subsea production loops, 2 water injection lines, and one gas injection line (7 production wells, 4 WI wells, 2 GI wells)
Well Performance
Responsible for preparing production wells for first start-up, including ramp-up and production targets for water and gas injection
Develop and implement well start-up procedures
Develop and deploy tools for well monitoring and analysis, including DOF, Gap/Prosper
Perform regular prognosis and updates of well potentials, considering facility network constraints and well test results
Prepare load shedding matrix considering water, flaring, gas, power, and GHG management scenarios
Validate well potential and production targets, working with Reservoir and Drilling & Completions to meet production/injection objectives
Contribute to defining annual production budget and closure forecast for wells and network operations
Develop ramp-up strategy and follow corresponding programs for wells
Assist site in maintaining well integrity
Ensure accuracy of well production data and contribute to well monitoring activities
Diagnose well performance issues and propose corrective actions in collaboration with Reservoir, Drilling & Completions, and Field Operations teams
Provide inputs for well intervention proposals and quantify expected costs and oil gains
Flow Assurance
Provide operational and technical support to Field Operations teams through Flow Assurance expertise
Prepare Flow Assurance documentation for start-up and operations (e.g., hydrate prevention philosophy, pigging procedures, operating envelopes)
Ensure proper management of deposits (sand, asphaltenes) in collaboration with the Production Chemistry team
Lead Flow Assurance studies related to performance actions, modification requests, and derogation requests
Develop and deploy tools for flow assurance monitoring (e.g., Olga Model, LEDA, OCW)
Maintain close communication with Reservoir and Well Performance teams to update Flow Assurance models with well test data and PVTs
Optimize methanol consumption and identify opportunities to enhance production while maintaining integrity protection
Define medium-to-long-term flow assurance activities for production optimization
Oversee flow assurance simulation studies (e.g., production optimization, modification forecasting)
Lead technical expertise in Flow Assurance studies, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines
Well Performance & Production Forecast
Apply knowledge of company rules, specifications, and project procedures related to Well Monitoring/Performance
Validate well tests and define well potentials and production targets
Define field potential based on reservoir profiles for production budget and forecast
Collaborate with Reservoir and Drilling & Completions to set production/injection objectives
Participate in completion choices and feedback on completion performance
Well Clean-Up & Ramp-Up
Coordinate clean-up programs with GSR and Drilling & Completions
Define well performance and field operation requirements for clean-up programs
Project Overview
The development consists of subsea wells connected to a spread moored FPSO (75 Kbopd, 60 Kbopd water injection, 330 MMscfd gas reinjection, oil tandem offloading)
What profile and skills are required for this "Senior Flow Assurance/Well Performance Engineer (M/F)" role?
Accountabilities
Oversee all cross-functional activities related to Flow Assurance
Prepare operating procedures concerning Flow Assurance, including the Hydrate Management Plan, Pigging Philosophy, and Preservation Sequence
Lead all thermo-hydraulic studies (both steady-state and transient) related to the production network (from reservoir to topside facilities), the injection system, and the gas export pipeline
Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained, while safeguarding the continuity and optimization of hydrocarbon production
Provide Flow Assurance support for the site, particularly during Start-Up, Re-Start, and Preservation phases
Oversee Well Performance activities, including the preparation of well start-up procedures
Manage all tools related to Well Performance and Flow Assurance required for operations
Qualifications/Experience Required
Professional Experience: 15-20 years in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in major deep offshore projects/fields
Experience in Similar Position: Minimum of 5 years in Flow Assurance engineering for similar projects/fields, and at least 5 years in Well Performance on an operated asset
