As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions that solve real-world business challenges. You'll work across client projects to develop production-ready ML systems, rapid prototypes, and scalable AI pipelines while integrating them into existing software infrastructure. This role requires a mix of software engineering, data science, and strong communication skills to translate complex AI concepts into actionable business insights. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, experiment with emerging AI technologies, and play a key role in shaping AI-driven solutions that have tangible impact on operations and decision-making. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while contributing to high-profile, innovative projects.
Accountabilities:
Design, develop, and integrate AI-driven systems and data pipelines that meet client needs
Build production-ready machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
Architect scalable AI systems with focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance
Implement MLOps best practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and continuous deployment
Develop rapid prototypes and proof-of-concept applications to demonstrate AI capabilities
Collaborate with software engineering teams to embed AI solutions into production applications
Communicate technical AI concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fine-tune and train models, optimize performance, and select appropriate pre-trained AI/ML solutions
Experiment with emerging AI technologies and agentic tools to accelerate solution delivery
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
5-8 years of professional experience, including 3-5 years focused on applied AI/ML
Proficient in Python and production-grade software development
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or Hugging Face
2-3 years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their ML services
Proven experience designing, prototyping, and deploying Generative AI / LLM-based solutions
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, CI/CD, and version control (Git)
Experience integrating ML models into production systems and data pipelines
Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases
Ability to build rapid prototypes and scale them into production-grade solutions
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Must reside in the United States and perform work domestically
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, or computer vision
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and AI-assisted development tools
Knowledge of data warehouse design and dimensional modeling
Experience with MLOps platforms and model monitoring tools
Agile methodology experience and working in cross-functional teams
Background in government or federal projects
