Contract SAP ABAP Developer needed (DV Cleared) - Hybrid
Location: Wiltshire (4 days onsite/1 remote)
Clearance: Active DV Required (UK Nationals Only)
Duration/Start: 6 months initially (strong extension likelihood beyond FY)/ASAPThe Role
We are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join a secure, large-scale SAP transformation programme within a high-security engineering/manufacturing environment. You'll take ownership of designing, developing, and optimising custom SAP solutions, leveraging advanced ABAP and HANA capabilities, while working closely with functional leads and technical stakeholders.What You'll Work On

End-to-end ABAP OO development, design and enhancement delivery
Build and optimise CDS Views, oData Services, RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs & User Exits
Develop and maintain Smart Forms, ALV/Classical reports, proxies & Web Services
Create and enhance ABAP for HANA solutions with performance tuning
Develop and maintain Data Dictionary objects & transformation logic
Collaborate on technical designs, review specifications, and ensure best practices
Support system testing & assist with UAT defect resolution
Work in a customer-facing role, providing consulting input where required
(Desirable) Contribute to SAP PO/PI integration developments
What You'll Bring
? Proven experience delivering SAP ABAP developments in complex environments
? Strong experience with ABAP OO, CDS, oData, HANA optimisation & interface development
? Solid understanding of integration using BAPIs, proxies, RFCs & Web Services
? Experience producing and reviewing detailed technical designs/specifications
? Performance tuning and transformation optimisation expertise
? Familiarity with SAP PO/PI (advantageous)
? Excellent stakeholder engagement and consulting skills
? Experience working collaboratively with functional teams and end-users
? Active DV clearance - essential
? Ability to work onsite 4 days per week
