Position: Bilingual French Legal Expert

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $80-$110/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: ~2 months

Commitment: Minimum of 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

Translate, adapt, and synthesize French legal content to create accurate and contextually nuanced materials
Write fluently in both French and English, ensuring precise legal terminology and culturally appropriate usage
Provide expertise and insights on region-specific French legal systems, terminology, and processes
Review, refine, and validate content to align with professional legal standards
Collaborate asynchronously with Crossing Hurdles' support team and peers for feedback and quality assurance

Requirements

Native-level fluency in French with strong proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Advanced degree in Law
Strong professional experience of practicing law in France
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet deadlines
Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported)
