Position: Insurance Expert
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $55-$100/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 1-2 months (with possible extension)
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)
Review and validate AI-generated outputs for policy pricing, underwriting, reserving, claims, and risk modeling.
Evaluate actuarial projections (mortality, morbidity, loss development) and ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment.
Provide structured feedback on assumptions, clarity, and methodologies across insurance domains (life, health, property & casualty, reinsurance).
Stress-test outputs for reserve adequacy, claims handling, and solvency models, benchmarking AI performance against industry standards.
Tag, organize, and help benchmark AI workflows in actuarial science and insurance operations.
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and product teams to refine and improve model outputs.
Requirements
Strong experience in actuarial practice, insurance analytics, underwriting, claims, or risk modeling.
Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or related field; certifications such as ASA, ACAS, or equivalent are preferred.
Strong familiarity with actuarial software/tools (Prophet, AXIS, R, Python) and standard insurance methodologies.
Excellent analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and asynchronously in a remote setting.
