Senior Cyber Security Engineer
The company is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to plan, design, and implement security solutions that protect our organization from cyber threats. In this role, you will define security requirements, perform risk assessments, and utilize advanced tools to harden our internal and external systems. This is a critical position for safeguarding our infrastructure and data, with flexible remote, hybrid, or on-site opportunities available.
Pay & Benefits
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Actively harden internal and external systems to prevent and minimize cyber-attacks and intrusions.
- Evaluate and implement effective security technologies and architectures in collaboration with technical teams.
- Perform regular security audits and verify compliance with internal information security policies and standards.
- Develop clear reporting and remediation strategies for identified vulnerabilities and system misconfigurations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security architecture, policies, and procedures.
- Investigate, respond to, and report on security incidents to mitigate impact.
- Assist the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team with vendor risk management assessments.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of professional experience in an engineering security role.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud security architectures and services, specifically within AWS.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, PAM, or DLP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
- Experience developing and documenting security standards and procedures.
- Strong understanding of emerging threat models and security trends.

- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- Location: Folsom, CA 95630. This position is open to remote, hybrid, and on-site candidates.
