Junior DevOps Engineer

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a DevOps engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), some of your duties will include providing direct support to engineering platforms and microservices used to develop critical applications to modernize how data is leveraged across multiple DoD customers. Some responsibilities will include the following:

Developing infrastructure, task automation, provision managed services, and leveraging Python, Ansible, and Terraform programming languages.
Patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL
Install, configure, and provide performance support for Kubernetes, Docker, Nifi, and cloud metrics collection tools.
Managing CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab.
Managing commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

6 Years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience

Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Knowledge of PaaS
Experience in configuring and managing LINUX operating systems.
Experience investigating and resolving technical issues.
Active Security+ certification or other 8570 Compliant certifications.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Experience using with Jira and Confluence.
Knowledge of DevOps pipeline and optimizing code.
Experience in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, and/or Bash
Knowledge of Docker or other container tools.

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$96,3000 - $118,200
