We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Cloud & AI organization. Cloud security landscape is evolving rapidly. You will work in a fast-paced environment with frameworks such as Microsoft Synapse and Microsoft Service Fabric. You will work closely with PMs to translate their asks into scalable yet easy to maintain services. You will collaborate with your peers to design and build highly available services, from alpha/preview releases to production grade. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions using Java, C#, or C++. Architect and implement distributed systems that handle large volumes of data efficiently and reliably.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements.
Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of mission-critical applications in production environments.
Apply best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration and deployment.
Contribute to technical discussions and help drive architectural decisions to support long-term scalability and maintainability.
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to improve system resilience and reduce operational risk

Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Experience with Data Handling at scale
Experience building and operating cloud-based mission critical software
Experience with Kubernetes/AWS/GCP/Azure is a big plus
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
