Role: XML Expert/Application Developer
Location: Remote (UK-based only)
Contract Length: 8 Months
Day Rate: £350/day (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Required
We're hiring an experienced XML Developer to support a large-scale integration and transformation programme. This fully remote role focuses on designing and delivering high-quality data solutions using XML and IBM Maximo Asset Management software.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable data transformation solutions using XML, XSLT, and DataStage Designer.
Work extensively with IBM Maximo to read/write and transform complex XML structures.
Analyse and map data across formats including XML, JSON, CSV, EDI, and relational databases.
Develop and maintain transformation logic, integration rules, and mapping specifications.
Validate outputs and troubleshoot discrepancies in transformed datasets.
Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure semantic alignment and data accuracy.
Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards.
Document processes and maintain metadata for traceability.
Essential Requirements:
UK National with at least 5 years of UK residency (due to clearance requirements).
Strong hands-on experience with XML, XSLT, and data transformation tooling.
Proven experience working with IBM Maximo Asset Management software.
Background in data modelling and integration across varied formats.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with ETL platforms such as DataStage, Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi, SSIS, or Boomi.
Experience with SX000i and Integrated Product Support (AIA/ASD) standards.
Knowledge of documentation tools (Excel, BPMN, UML).
