Implement observability, SLOs, and automated incident response
Define and drive infrastructure strategy for scale, security, and efficiency
Standardize IaC practices using CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation
Build internal developer tools and shared microservices
Lead and mentor a team of platform, DevOps, and data infrastructure engineers
Own and optimize cloud infrastructure across compute, data, and orchestration layers
Partner cross-functionally on architecture, compliance, and long-term planning
How success is defined

Rapid and effective incident detection, response, and resolution
Clear, scalable infrastructure patterns adopted organization-wide
High team engagement, retention, and professional development

3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, ideally in hybrid or distributed environments.
Strong background in cloud-native infrastructure using AWS services (e.g., S3, EMR, Lambda, ECS, EventBridge).
Deep understanding of Databricks, Spark, and scalable data pipeline architectures.
Proven experience in platform observability, system performance optimization, and automation.
Proficient with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tooling (Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions).
Strong coding ability in Python and SQL; familiarity with containerized and serverless architectures.
Clear and effective communicator capable of aligning stakeholders and teams around platform initiatives.
