The Opportunity
NORRIQ Financial Services is looking for a Data Scientist to accelerate our data analytics, machine learning, and generative AI initiatives. You will work with leading financial institutions to design, build, and deliver data-driven and AI-powered solutions that create tangible business impact.
Roles & Responsibilities
Client-Facing Responsibilities
Design and implement machine learning and generative AI solutions for complex financial use cases.
Conduct exploratory data analysis and build insightful dashboards or visualizations.
Present analytical findings and actionable recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Developers) to industrialize AI solutions.
Provide technical guidance and advisory on data science and AI best practices.
Technical Responsibilities
Develop and maintain AI and ML models using Python, scikit-learn, and deep learning frameworks.
Apply a wide range of analytical methodologies, including:
Generative AI techniques (Prompt Engineering, RAG, Fine-tuning, Speech-to-Text, Agentic Applications, Image Generation & Interpretation)
Predictive AI and classical machine learning approaches.
Contribute to production-grade AI applications using tools such as GitLab, DVC, and MLOps frameworks.
Ensure reproducibility, version control, and performance optimization across models and pipelines.
Create and maintain Jupyter notebooks for experimentation and documentation.
Internal Contributions
Contribute to NORRIQ’s AI & Data Science Center of Excellence through knowledge sharing and internal projects.
Support proposal writing and solution architecture for client engagements.
Stay at the forefront of developments in data science, AI, and GenAI frameworks (LangChain, Haystack, etc.).
Our Data Scientist Must Have
Fluency in English, and Dutch or French, with at least passive knowledge of the other
Belgian residency
