Title: Infotainment Triage Software Engineer

Contract: 6+ Months, Long-term.

Qualifications:
Experienced in the Automotive Infotainment domain with exposure to embedded software development in C/C++/ Linux.
Knowledge of how to use JIRA, Confluence, and Logs Analysis Tools.
High-Level System Architecture Knowledge - SW Design, Sequence diagrams, APIs, HTTP error codes.
Conversant with Linux commands, utilities, and basic Python scripting.
Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies, Requirement Analysis, and understanding.
Thinking on the feet and aptitude to learn
Have great critical thinking skills, analytical, tools & development experience, and ability to evaluate and identify issues at a code level.
Able to summarize key points and work with others to cut through ambiguity and bring issues to resolution.
A history of working with cross-functional teams to ensure a successful product.
You must be an initiative-taker with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a knack for solving problems creatively.
The fast-paced nature of the job requires that you be able to work well under pressure.
Preferably, but not mandatory skill sets:
Experience in designing, developing, and debugging software in a real-time embedded environment.
Knowledge of how to read DLT logs, DLT-Viewer, and how to apply filters in DLT logs.
Responsibilities:
As an IAT engineer, you will be responsible for initial analysis and triage of defects before they are assigned to individual development teams for root cause and fix.
You will perform high-level defect analysis to filter out environmental/ setup issues, IVI vs server-side issues, and move the defects to the correct queue (HU, Server, Tier1, Tier2, etc.) at the earliest.
You will continuously monitor the defect dashboard, drive defect triage calls, and work closely with PO, Eval & Development team members to clarify defects and track them to closure.
Create dashboards and reports for management and other stakeholders.

The Infotainment Triage Software Engineer will be responsible for performing initial analysis and triage of defects in automotive infotainment systems, filtering environmental/setup issues, distinguishing IVI vs. server-side problems, routing defects to appropriate teams, and driving defect triage calls while monitoring dashboards, clarifying issues, and tracking them to closure. The role requires expertise in automotive infotainment, embedded software development using C/C++ and Linux, as well as proficiency in Jira, Confluence, log analysis tools, system architecture concepts (software design, sequence diagrams, APIs, and HTTP error codes), Linux commands, basic Python scripting, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and requirements analysis. Candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking, analytical, and debugging skills, as well as the ability to evaluate code-level issues, effective communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Preferred skills include experience with real-time embedded software development and debugging, as well as knowledge of DLT logs and DLT-Viewer. A proactive mindset and history of cross-functional collaboration are essential.
