Job Summary
We’re looking for an exceptional DevOps Engineer - Corporate Applications to help us make a difference to our planet.
As our DevOps Engineer - Corporate Applications, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.

Joining the Corporate Applications team within Corporate Technology, you will provide technical support and development for a wide range of services and technologies.
The Corporate Applications team is a DevOps function, this role is defined by the Development operations (DevOps) engineer - Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework (ddat-capability-framework.service.gov.uk) description as set out in the Government and Data Capabilities framework.
Job Description
Analyse current processes and identify opportunities to optimise them and implement. Help to evaluate and establish requirements for the implementation of changes.
Develop and support applications and services built upon Microsoft tooling such as Power Platform and Fabric.
Proactively monitor services for issues and provide a prompt response to incidents.
Design, implement, and maintain tools and processes for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of business services. Collaborating with others when necessary to review and agree specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts.
Manage and develop critical business data integrations between systems.

Person specification
Systems Integration - Experience in developing and maintaining integrations between both cloud-based and on-premise systems. [We’re experts by nature]
Demonstrable experience with Microsoft services - including Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform and SQL Server Business Intelligence (SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS). [We’re experts by nature]
Good Knowledge of Power BI & Fabric development/support – demonstrate a good level of knowledge of Power BI development Practices and Microsoft Fabric, or ability to develop excellent skills in these technologies. [We Keep Evolving]
Process Optimisation - Experience of analysis of current processes explaining ways to identify and implement opportunities to optimise them. Experience of assisting in the evaluation and establishment of requirements for the implementation of changes. [We keep evolving]
Programming and build (software engineering) - Collaborate with others when necessary to review specifications and use these to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the right standards and tools. [We live and breathe it]
