Software Engineer III

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid 4 days onsite / 1-day remote minimum)

Rate: ~$53-93/hr.

Contract Length: 12 Months

Job Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a dynamic, cross-functional team focused on developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems in a regulated environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of software modules, with an emphasis on best engineering practices and established design control processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain software systems in alignment with design control processes.
Analyze software requirements for a specific component and translate them into scalable, maintainable designs.
Design and implement solutions with moderate supervision.
Participate in code reviews and documentation processes to ensure code quality and compliance.
Apply multi-threaded software design principles.
Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality products in a regulated, process-oriented environment.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
Demonstrated knowledge of multi-threaded software design and development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in a regulated environment and adhering to quality management systems.

Additional Notes

Remote Work: Limited flexibility; hybrid expected (at least 4 days onsite).
