They are seeking an experienced Software Developer with strong communication and problem-solving skills to join their Productivity Engineering team. This team's mission is to empower trading, research, and software teams by providing the tools, infrastructure, and processes that streamline workflows and accelerate delivery.
Rather than directly developing trading strategies, the group focuses on removing bottlenecks, improving developer efficiency, and maintaining a world-class remote development environment used by hundreds of engineers worldwide. The team works across multiple languages and platforms, including Python, C++, and Java, continually driving innovation in build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and development tooling.
Core Responsibilities
Scale and enhance the firm's build systems and developer tooling to provide a best-in-class experience for engineers.
Maintain reliable multi-tenant development environments supporting hundreds of concurrent users across global regions.
Diagnose and resolve issues within build and infrastructure systems, implementing both immediate fixes and long-term architectural improvements.
Design and develop infrastructure to support build, test, and release workflows.
Champion best practices for code quality, maintainability, and development productivity across teams.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional software development experience using Python, Java, and/or C++.
Strong background in Kubernetes, containerization, and cluster management.
Experience implementing monitoring and alerting solutions using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or other observability platforms.
Familiarity with Bazel or similar build systems for large-scale or monorepo environments (preferred).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, research, and operations teams.
