With a mission to improve patient care, we deliver information and education to healthcare professionals through 400+ global, regional, and local events and reach over 4 million users monthly through digital networks and social channels.

We seek a highly experienced and strategic Director of BI, Analytics, Reporting & QA to lead enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and data quality functions. This individual will oversee Power BI development, BI engineering, ad hoc and recurring reporting operations, and a dedicated QA function for data deliverables.

You will also champion process optimization, report standardization, and automated, hands-free delivery of insights to stakeholders, driving scalable, self-service analytics and high confidence reporting across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

Define and execute a scalable reporting and BI strategy aligned with business objectives and data maturity goals.
Manage and mentor a cross-functional team, including:
BI Engineers: Dashboard/report creation, semantic modeling, performance tuning, building data marts/reporting layers in Snowflake as needed.
Reporting Analysts: Handling ticket-based ad hoc requests and recurring reports.
QA Analyst: Overseeing data and report validation/testing.

Business Intelligence & Data Modeling

Lead the whole Power BI development lifecycle, including DAX modeling, best practices, and governance.
Drive the design of standardized, reusable data marts and reporting layers in Snowflake to power BI dashboards and recurring outputs.
Work with BI Engineers to maintain modular, performant models.
Build a workstream to gather requirements, collaborate with the data Engineering team, and deliver storytelling dashboards.

Reporting Operations & Automation

Own the intake and prioritization process for ad hoc data requests submitted via ticketing systems (e.g., Help Scout).
Oversee recurring monthly, weekly, and executive reports across functions (e.g., operations, finance, marketing).
Work with stakeholders to standardize ad hoc requests to bring in more efficiency.
Implement automation for report generation and distribution, ensuring hands-free delivery of scheduled reports through Power BI subscriptions, embedded reports, or integrated alerting systems.
Champion report standardization: consolidate similar reports, apply consistent KPIs, and implement a single source of truth approach.

Process Optimization & Efficiency

Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in reporting workflows through process optimization, tooling enhancements, and documentation.
Streamline collaboration between data engineers, BI developers, analysts, and business users.
Establish clear SLAs and KPIs for ticket resolution, report turnaround, and data accuracy.

QA, Testing & Governance

Establish a robust testing and QA framework to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all reporting and dashboard deliverables.
Partner with the QA Analyst to design automated validation, regression testing, and release protocols for BI artifacts and perform end-to-end data quality testing.
Enforce data governance, report version control, and stakeholder sign-off process.

AI & Data Science Enablement

Oversee the integration of AI/ML outputs into Power BI dashboards and operational reporting environments.
Help identify opportunities for AI-driven automation within the reporting function.
Engage in advanced analytics and data science exploratory analysis.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as a trusted advisor to business units seeking insights, reporting solutions, and data access.
Work closely with data engineering, product, operations, finance, sales, marketing, and executive teams to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment.
Contribute to data literacy and enablement by promoting self-service tools and training programs.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting leadership roles.
Advanced expertise and hands-on experience in Power BI, including DAX, semantic modeling, and dashboard performance optimization.
Proven experience leading teams that build data marts and reporting layers on Snowflake.
Strong background in ticket-based reporting ops, automated report delivery, and Power BI subscriptions/APIs.
Demonstrated ability to standardize, automate, and optimize reporting workflows.
Perform advanced analytics on business-critical processes.
Hands-on experience managing QA processes for data validation and testing.
