Job Title : Machine Learning Engineer

Location : Washington, DC

Type : Full Time

Our client is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and data pipelines in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and implement ML models and components to solve complex business challenges
Collaborate with product and data science teams to optimize models, features, and pipelines
Build, test, and deploy data-intensive solutions using Python, Scala, Java, and distributed computing frameworks
Retrain, monitor, and maintain ML models in production for reliability and performance
Create and optimize data pipelines to feed ML models efficiently
Leverage cloud technologies to scale ML workloads and ensure high performance
Follow best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, and model monitoring
Ensure models and systems follow Responsible AI and governance principles

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
4+ years programming in Python, Scala, or Java
3+ years building distributed, data-intensive systems
Hands on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Dask, or Spark
Experience in deploying and maintaining ML models in production

Preferred Skills

Experience building and scaling end-to-end ML systems
Expertise in data preparation and production-ready ML pipelines
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a technical field
Contributions to open-source ML projects or published ML research
