QA Lead - 5 month contract initially

About You

As a QA Lead, you will be a champion of testing, coordinating with product experts and developers in an Agile environment. As a result, you will need to be able to:

Develop comprehensive test strategies that encompass various testing phases, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing
Spearhead the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts, ensuring efficient and effective test execution
Ensure the highest quality of software by implementing rigorous QA processes, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and management
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in testing practices
Working closely with the development teams to ingrain Quality engineering principles to optimise cycle time
Take a lead on each fortnightly release

To do that, it’s essential you bring the following:

Substantial experience of Test Management at a senior level, ability to lead teams and work independently
Experience of establishing test practices within Agile delivery environments
Has successfully embedded test driven and test led approaches
Understands the Test Pyramid and has implemented strategies to avoid Testing Ice Cream Cone
Significant experience in test automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery
Experience with test management tools Automation testing, cypress, typescript, API testing, postman, manual testing
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

It’s Helpful If You Also Have

Extensive knowledge of, or experience in, a range of types of non-functional testing.
Experience in coaching and mentoring your colleagues and peers.
