Senior Enterprise Architect – Cloud Strategy, Migration & Governance
(Hybrid T,W,R in office, Contract-to-Hire)
Overview:
Hive+Co has a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Columbus, Ohio for a Senior Enterprise Architect to support a multi-year modernization initiative moving legacy systems to modern, cloud-based platforms. You’ll define architecture standards, guide transformation roadmaps, and partner with leadership to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the target-state architecture for cloud adoption and modernization.
Develop frameworks for application migration, workload optimization, and hybrid/multi-cloud governance.
Translate business requirements into architecture blueprints and high-level solution designs.
Provide senior-level direction, standards, and decisions across technology domains (application, data, infrastructure, and security).
Lead Architecture Review Boards, solution design reviews, and governance processes.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to guide innovation and continuous improvement.
Partner with business leaders to define technology strategies that drive operational efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years in Enterprise or Cloud Architecture, with strong expertise in Azure and/or AWS.
Proven experience in migrating legacy systems or applications to cloud environments.
Hands-on experience integrating and supporting SAP systems within enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
Skilled in DevSecOps, automation, and cloud-native architecture (IaaS, PaaS, Infrastructure as Code).
Deep technical understanding of APIs, automation, networking, monitoring, and cloud security.
Strong consultative, leadership, and collaboration skills across business and IT teams.
Familiarity with TOGAF, ITIL, or similar frameworks; proficiency with LeanIX a plus.
Experience with technologies such as Azure Compute, Cisco, Docker, Kubernetes, Palo Alto, ServiceNow, VMware, and SAP.
