About the Role:
eNGINE is hiring three (3) Senior Full Stack Developers for a new high-visibility project with one of our financial services partners in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity working on a critical system handling over 80–100 million private personal records. Due to the sensitivity of the data, U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status is required, and candidates will be asked to sign an NDA prior to starting.
This team will be responsible for building a secure, scalable, and modern full-stack application leveraging AI-assisted development tools. The initial development phase (through January) will be 100% backend, transitioning to 70% backend / 30% frontend as the project moves toward a June go-live.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and frontend components using Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.5+, and Angular (v20+).
Leverage AI/ML-assisted development tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, or comparable platforms to enhance coding efficiency and reliability.
Implement secure software solutions in compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, and other relevant security frameworks.
Work with large-scale, sensitive datasets in a zero trust architecture environment.
Develop and maintain data orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow and Spring Batch.
Monitor and optimize system performance with Grafana and related observability tools.
Collaborate closely with technical leadership, stakeholders, and business partners (including Ginnie Mae) to ensure solutions align with business and security goals.
Demonstrate functional understanding of your code — the “why” behind what you build.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular (modern versions preferred).
Hands-on experience with AI/ML-assisted development tools (e.g., Windsurf, Cursor, or similar) and prompt engineering best practices.
Proven experience developing scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure applications in enterprise environments.
Experience with Airflow, Spring Batch, and Grafana highly preferred.
Familiarity with zero trust architecture, instrumentation, and observability.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
