This role is open to all Police Staff / external candidates who meet the essential criteria of the person spec, regardless of current grade.

About The Team
The Strategy, Planning and Service Improvement (SPSI) department is a strategic hub supporting chief officers and the wider organisation to deliver on the strategic objectives set out in the Policing Plan.
The Department leads and coordinates the City of London Police’s approach to strategy development, governance and executive support, planning and risk management, tracking, auditing and evaluating performance, and strategic stakeholder relations.
We help City of London Police to make good decisions and plan for the future, enabling it to adapt to an ever-changing environment. We also work with internal and external partners and stakeholders to ensure we have a clear long-term strategic vision underpinned by plans to develop capacity and capability and continually improve our service for the benefit of the public
About The Role
The business analyst role will bring together City of London Police’s Business continuity plans, ensuring that the organisation is adhering to responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and aligned to the wider Corporation of London resilience planning.
The postholder will work in multidisciplinary teams to analyse, formulate and finalise BC plans which may include testing and implementation throughout one or more business areas across the organisation. The postholder will produce reports with recommendations on Business Continuity for submission to the relevant governance from internal project or programme boards through to relevant Committees as required by the City of London Corporation Gateway process
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Review and refresh all BC plans (working closely with business area leads)
Review and refresh Business Continuity Management policy
Review and refresh the force BC plan
Place all plans on Riskonnect and establish required systems and processes
Manage any deconfliction or other concerns identified by Riskonnect
Develop robust proposals for BCM at CoLP, including required capacity and capability.
Requirements
For this role, we need you to have experience of:
BCI ISO 22301 Qualification in Business Continuity management (necessary)
Previous experience in Public Sector resilience planning (desirable)
Knowledge of Emergency Preparedness and the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
Prior use of RisKonnect (desirable)

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
