Job Specifications
Techmunity are hiring multiple backend and full stack engineers for a YC-backed Series A startup in London.
The team is growing and they want engineers who like building real systems, close to customers and product, rather than managing people or sitting in long planning cycles.
You’d be joining a company whose product sits in the middle of business-critical workflows for financial and B2B customers. When you ship something, you see it in the numbers and in how customers run their day.
You’ll work in a small engineering group where decisions are made quickly and people are trusted to get on with it. You’ll talk directly to founders and customers, shape what gets built, and see your work go live frequently.
What you’ll do
Design and ship features that solve specific customer problems, from idea to production.
Work across the stack (Python, FastAPI, React, Typescript, GCP/AWS) to build, extend and scale core product surfaces and internal tools.
Help improve performance, reliability and observability of systems that are handling a lot of sensitive, high volume data.
Work directly with founders, product and customer teams to understand context and trade offs.
Contribute to the way the team works as the company grows: tooling, deployment, testing and incident habits.
What they’re looking for
5+ years of software engineering experience.
A track record of shipping production systems that had clear results for users or the business.
Expertise with Python
Experience in a startup or scaleup where you have had to prioritise, move quickly and own outcomes.
You want to stay as an individual contributor, with growing scope and ownership, rather than move into people management.
What’s on offer
Salary in the £120,000 to £150,000 range, depending on experience.
London office, with most of the team in a few days a week and flexibility around that.
Colleagues with experience from places like Meta, MIT, Oxford, Spotify, Asana and Revolut.
Regular offsites, including trips to New York, weekly team lunches, and solid benefits: private healthcare, uncapped holiday policy, parental leave and therapy support.
A genuine opportunity to influence both the product and how the engineering team works at an important stage in the company’s growth.
