Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Channel Marketing Specialist to lead the growth of our wholesale business across North America. This role will develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives with key distributor partners—driving revenue, increasing market share, and positioning our brand as the preferred choice in the fire and security. This is a full time role, based out of head quarters in Vaughan, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop annual wholesale channel marketing plans with defined revenue targets, market share goals, and ROMI metrics.
Create differentiated value propositions tailored to wholesale versus direct channels.
Build joint business plans with major distributor partners, including mutual commitments and performance metrics.
Conduct quarterly business reviews with key distributors to assess progress and refine strategies.
Design and launch channel-specific marketing campaigns that drive sell-through velocity.
Optimize product visibility and content across distributor digital platforms (e-commerce, catalogs, mobile apps).
Develop contractor/installer-focused content, tools, and resources for partner use.
Create and administer rebate programs, SPIFFs, promotional calendars, and traffic-driving initiatives to distributor branches.
Coordinate channel participation in company-wide sales initiatives.
Manage the channel marketing budget, including MDF, co-op funds, and promotional investments.
Own the channel marketing P&L, tracking ROI and contribution to revenue pipeline.
Ensure accurate product data syndication across all partner platforms.
Collaborate with supply chain on inventory planning to support promotions and new product launches.
Manage vendor scorecards and distributor performance metrics.
Resolve channel conflicts between wholesale and direct sales motions.
Provide regional sales teams with channel-specific tools, presentations, and battlecards.
Support key account managers in partner meetings, negotiations, and joint selling activities.
Provide market intelligence on competitive positioning and channel dynamics.
Execute distributor roadshows, counter days, and branch-level events.
Manage company presence at partner-hosted events, open houses, and customer appreciation days.
Coordinate “Made in Canada” campaign activation across Canadian wholesale markets.
Support regional trade shows with integrated channel partner participation.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards & compliance procedures.

Requirements and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience is an asset.
1–3+ years of experience in channel marketing, distribution marketing, or B2B marketing—preferably within fire, security, electrical, or industrial sectors.
Proven success developing and executing marketing strategies with wholesale or distribution partners.
Strong understanding of channel dynamics, partner programs, sell-through tactics, and distributor ecosystems.
Experience managing MDF, co-op funds, promotional budgets, and marketing P&L.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with distributor partners, contractors, installers, and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to measure ROI, evaluate performance, and use data to inform decisions.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and partner engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with CRM and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo) is an asset.
Willingness to travel across North America (approximately 20%) for distributor visits, events, and trade shows.
