This full-time role, a mix home and office (Southwark, London) based work, with opportunities to attend lots of events across the UK too! We’re keen to get you started, join us in January 2026 or before if available. We’ll provide training and support to get you up a running.

Through our events, awards and publishing we connect professionals working in the development and design of urban spaces, bringing a community of placemakers together through live events, awards, online journalism, podcasts and print magazine.
Our business sponsorship, advertising and membership revenues are typically secured via direct sales and client relationship, building worthwhile partnerships with like mind organisations. Individual tickets sales and awards entry revenues are driven via marketing campaigns booked on our websites, with customer service support.
You will be a part of a small, enthusiastic and experienced team, and will gain from working closely with the business founders Christine and James and have an opportunity to impact the business in a meaningful way.
Job role:
Through direct sales and marketing campaigns, you will contribute to the financial success of live events, awards, website and magazine, you will also support on their planning, production and delivery.
From direct sales you will look to generate new, secure repeat and help manage existing revenues across: Event / awards sponsorship, marketing solutions and membership / corporate packages.
Via marketing campaigns, you will help to generate new customers, leads and engagement, and with existing customers / audience drive: Ticket sales, awards entries, memberships, registrations and engagement.

Duties & responsibilities:
· Represent the organisation at events and face-to-face / digital meetings
· Actively engage with new and existing customers via proactive phone, email and social media communications
· Through direct relationship sales, secure new revenues that contribute to the business and individual targets
· Input ideas and develop opportunities that will assist in the growth of the business
· Support the planning, execution, and analysis of customer growth campaigns via email and social media to drive lead generation, tickets, entry and membership sales
· Plan, write and implement marketing campaigns across multiple channels and ensure the outcomes of each campaign are met
· Ensure websites marketing and sales messages are always up-to-date with event, awards and opportunities
· Responsible for compiling reports on revenues, bookings and engagement; accurately forecasting and tracking key sales and marketing metrics.
· Help develop strategies to enhance the consumer journey through our online and social media touchpoints to maximise exposure and secure purchase and engagement activity
· Create digital assets such as emails and social media posts to boost engagement, optimise call-to-action responses, boost retention/rebooking and enhance conversions
· Fulfil social media and marketing requirements of sponsors and supporters of events and content
· Be part of the onsite delivery team at the events
· Support on pre-event and post-event strategy to engage leads and move them through the sales and marketing funnel

Who you are:
This role is suitable for a strong communicator with a confident, outgoing personality, who can demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to fully understanding customer needs.
· Sales or customer support/service experience
· Digital marketing competence, specifically, email and social media
· Articulate and creative copy writing skills with a high attention to detail
· Literate and numerate with good communication skills
· A good level of IT/computer knowledge
· Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated
· Strong planning and organisational skills
· Entrepreneurial spirit and a readiness to take responsibility for your work
· High level of creativity, self-initiative, and a service-oriented approach.
· The ability to prioritise, keep a clear head and work independently to deadlines or during live events
Not essential but would benefit from (You’ll be expected to develop):
• An interest in urban design and sustainability. Experience of regeneration, development, architecture and the built environment
• Experience in digital marketing, including campaign managemen
