Hayley Menzies is a contemporary luxury womenswear brand rooted in the eclectic spirit of Portobello Road. Known for standout knitwear, playful prints, and textural craftsmanship, we design collections for the modern, free-spirited woman.
We are looking for a Paid Intern to for the position of Junior Product & Production Assistant to join our small but mighty team. This is the perfect role for a recent Knitwear or Fashion Design graduate (ideally specialising in knitwear) who wants to gain hands-on experience across all stages of product development and production. There is opportunity for the right candidate to develop into a permanent position.
What you’ll be doing:
• Assisting with creating and updating tech packs• Measuring garments and updating specifications• Supporting fittings, QC checks, and product approvals• Sourcing and organising trims, yarns, labels, and materials• Managing sample flow and maintaining product trackers• Liaising with suppliers on samples, trims, and timelines• Helping maintain the critical path and ensuring deadlines are met• Supporting with small design tasks (particularly knitwear), colour layouts, and detail updates• Preparing samples and information for wholesale, press days, and launches
What we’re looking for:
• Degree in Knitwear Design or Fashion Design (with strong knitwear experience)• Excellent organisation and attention to detail• Confident using Illustrator and Excel/Google Sheets• Strong understanding of garment construction, ideally knit• A proactive, calm, solution-focused attitude• Passion for luxury craftsmanship, textiles, and the Hayley Menzies aesthetic• A team player who is eager to learn and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment
