Contract Python Developer (10+ Years Experience) — U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a seasoned engineer capable of owning complex backend development tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain high-performance Python applications and services
Build RESTful APIs and backend services using frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
Optimize existing applications for performance and scalability
Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to deliver robust solutions
Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
Support CI/CD processes and automation improvements

What We’re Looking For

15+ years of professional software development experience
10+ years of hands-on Python experience
Strong experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices
Strong testing, debugging, and code-quality skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (project requirement)

Nice to Have

Experience with async Python (asyncio, Celery)
Data engineering, ETL, or ML pipeline experience
Government or regulated-industry project experience
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Secure coding and application security knowledge
